Tips to Ensure You Never Lose Your Keys Again
Losing your house keys can be a stressful, long and costly ordeal. We’ve all experienced that awful feeling of reaching into our bag or pocket only to realise that our keys are nowhere to be found. Constantly having to contact a locksmith to let you into your home can be incredibly frustrating, not to mention time-consuming. Below, we share our top tips to ensure that you never lose your keys again.
Designate a space at home for your keys
Firstly, designate a spot in your home to keep your keys. This could be a small glass bowl, a key hook or a tray. Keep it by the front door so that it’s quick and easy to access, and make sure that you put your keys in this spot whenever you come through the front door.
Designate a space for your keys when you’re out
Instead of throwing your keys in the bottom of your bag when you head out, choose a designated space for your keys so that you know where they are at all times. For example, placing them in a small zipped pocket in your bag helps to keep them separate from everything else. Alternatively, you can purchase clips that attach to your bag to prevent your keys from falling to the bottom.
Invest in a bluetooth key finder
Today, you can purchase gadgets designed to trace lost keys using your phone through the use of transmitters that emit sound. This can save you lots of time that may otherwise be spent turning your house upside down searching for them!
Alternatively, there are remote control key finders available which also make finding your keys extremely easy. Simply attach the keyring to your keys and make sure the batteries are in the keyring and remote control – then simply press the button on the keyring to activate a loud beeping noise that will help you track your keys down.
